A6. We have used different types of dress materials for Prom dresses
so that they look elegant and beautiful, and also enhances the overall personality
of the wearer.
The most common types of dress materials are:
Charmeuse: This is basically a lightweight fabric that gives
the front of the prom dress a satin finish and the back side a dull finish creating
contrast. The two most common types of charmeuse used include the silk Charmeuse
(softer and more expensive) and the Polyester Charmeuse. This fabric is very
difficult to stitch but once designed are stitched on the fabric, both the design
and fabric gets complement each other visually.
Taffeta: Often known as Taffety, it is a smooth woven fabric
that is made from synthetic fibers or silk. It is a high end fabric that is
being currently produced in India. It is exclusively used for Ball gowns, prom
dresses, and is famous for the elegance that it adds to a personality.
Chiffon: This is one of the most common types of fabric used
across the world. Chiffon is basically a light-weight plain woven fabric that
is made from synthetic fibers, cotton, or silk. Chiffon is used for making prom
dresses because it easily to dye them to any color or shade.
Tulle: This is a lightweight fabric that is used mostly for
creating wedding gowns. It also has a distinctive mesh effect and is available
in a hue of colors.
Apart from the different fibers, we have extensive used Sequins in our prom
dresses. Sequins are basically a type of bead shaped mostly like a disk. Sequins
are available in several colors and color shades as well as geometrical shapes.
